Larkspur or (Delphinium) is a living herbaceous plant native to the northern hemisphere, of great ornamental value, thanks to its colorful flowers where shades of blue, light blue, purple, creamy pink and white predominate. They reach a maximum height of 50cm to 1.50cm, with a shiny and smooth stem, bluish-gray in color and with a number of flowers per stem. The large and colorful flowers of this plant appear in spring in vertical clusters up to 30 centimeters long, and the peculiar shape of its spur is what led it to be popularly called "delphinium", in reference to this part of the team of knights of the Middle Ages, a time when records of this species began to be kept.
