The oracle – Angelarium stems from author Peter Mohrbacher’s idea and is based on the concept of the Tree of Life, proper to the esoteric interpretation of Kabbalah. The tree of life is divided into two parts: the emanations and the angels. This oracle is divided into 11 emanations and 22 angels (or paths).
The emanations act as doors along the path of the Tree of Life. Each emanation is an indivisible and universal concept, essential to the understanding of our existence. The characteristics of the emanations give the oracle a concrete structure, a scenario to explore.
The angels are fire made of flesh, each presenting itself on the path between various parts of the Tree of Life, inviting us to explore its deeper meaning.
About the author
Peter Mohrbacher is an independent illustrator, concept artist, and creator of the large-scale art project known as Angelarium. He is also known for his work in Magic: The Gathering, where his art and designs were used prominently in several card sets.
