The cammiphora, the tree from which myrrh grain resin is extracted, is a symbol of the strength and resistance of love. True love needs strength to resist, act, and remain. And so is the cammiphora, a tree that survives in a dry region, without resources, with the harsh reality and scarcity of a desert and that continues to bear its fruit.

Myrrh has been used for centuries to aid in physical healing and encourage feelings of happiness, strength, and confidence.

Myrrh is the feminine essence of the Cosmos, it represents the manifestation of the pure soul, of full understanding. It is used in rituals that invoke cleansing and spiritual protection, by blessing, protecting, and healing. When used, it awakens the feeling of brotherhood, self-knowledge and harmony, being widely recognized for its power to renew, to generate calm and tranquility with its aroma.

Perhaps the best known use is in the Christian Bible, where the grit myrrh is described as one of the three gifts given by the Magi to the newborn baby Jesus. In the book of Matthew 2:11, it reads: “As they entered the house, they saw the child with Mary, his mother, and prostrating themselves worshipped him. Then they opened their treasures and gave him gifts: gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Often used to allow your mind to open and achieve a deep sense of relaxation during meditation; Myrrh has also been known to have anti-inflammatory properties that can reduce pain and swelling in those suffering from arthritis.

When it comes to magical uses, myrrh has a wide variety of applications. In fact, the possibilities are almost endless. Because the aroma is quite strong, it is often used in conjunction with other herbs or resins, such as Olibanum or Sandalwood.

If you are stressed, burn some myrrh to help relax and calm your nerves, or you can also put it in a pouch and put it under your pillow to bring a restful, peaceful sleep.

Jesus was one of the greatest healers at the top of the earth, so myrrh is also very much associated with healing. Associate with any healing work, as long as the patient tolerates the smell, as it is really very strong, pushing away even the disease energy itself for a while.

How to use Myrrh
